A beautifully crafted sideboard by Terrence Conran’s Heals - consisting of 2 end cupboards with single shelf along with 4 central drawers. Made from symmetrical burr oak panels with an impressive grain. C. 1980.

The Burr is a tree growth in which the wood grain has grown in a deformed manner usually on the side of the tree trunk or the base of a tree. For furniture pieces the burr/burl is sliced into paper thin sheets and applied as a veneer.
