Large and very beautiful marbled slip pottery bowl bearing the impressed Dragon Fly marks of Somerset potter, Martin Pettinger. This is a particularly impressive one-off piece, thrown and decorated by hand it displays a fluid slip almost marble like decoration with a rich glossy glaze in an array of colours.

Martin Pettinger is known for his expressive slipware and functional forms, working within the long Somerset pottery tradition that values craftsmanship, natural materials, and individual artistic expression.
