An exception burr walnut veneered console by James Shoolbred and Co. (makers mark intact). Circa 1900. Established in the 1820s originally as drapers and later a department store, located on Tottenham Court Road, London where the company designed, manufactured and sold high quality furniture of their own designs. Selected for its contemporary shape and beautiful veneer.
