1960s Petit Marquetry Wine Table
This lovely little wine table dates from the 1960’s. It was made in New Zealand by Sovereign, it has the makers mark signed beneath the top. It has been meticulously handcrafted from many different types of wood, all indigenous to New Zealand with the top having an inlaid pattern incorporating 24 different woods. The top has the name of each wood inscribed - this can just be made out however they have worn and now looks more decorative. The base is also beautifully patterned in various types of wood.
