A rare example of a pair of Ronda chairs designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Spanish furniture brand Casas, C. 1970s. Featuring their original grey suede fabric these striking chairs are true collectors pieces with meticulous design from front to back with pleated detail elevating their appearance. In 1964 Afra and Tobia Scarpa were charged by Luciano Benetton to design the company’s first factory. This was to be the beginning of a relationship between Benetton and the Scarpas that continues to this day. Within it pages are some beautiful images of Benettons Milan Offices featuring Scarpas ‘Ronda’ chair (included within the images below). Both chairs carry the makers label and number (as shown).

• Vintage condition - overall both chairs are in decent condition however the armrests and seats do show wear to the fabric. The fabric on the underside of the seats is sagging a little as with common with this particular design due to its age.
