Sales, Condition, and Liability Policy

1. Vintage Nature & Condition of Goods
The buyer acknowledges and agrees that all items sold by Studio and Store Ltd are vintage, antique, or secondhand. By their nature, these items exhibit signs of age, wear, and historical use. All goods are sold strictly "as-is" and "with all faults."

The items have not been tested or certified to modern regulatory safety, structural, material, or weight-bearing standards. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding an item's fitness for a particular purpose, mechanical safety, or structural longevity. Items are intended and sold strictly for decorative, display, or historical collectible purposes.

2. Delivery Terms & Transfer of Risk

  • International Shipments (FCA): For all orders shipped outside the United Kingdom, the contract of sale is executed under FCA (Free Carrier, Incoterms 2020) at our designated UK premises. The buyer acts as the importer of record and assumes all responsibility for import clearance, duties, and local taxes in the destination country. Our legal delivery obligation is fulfilled, and all risk of damage, loss, or liability transfers to the buyer, the exact moment the goods are handed over to the buyer’s designated carrier at our UK premises.

  • Small Parcels & UK Domestic Orders: For items shipped directly via postal or standard courier services (such as vases or small collectibles), delivery is completed when the courier hands the parcel over at the destination address. The buyer is advised to handle items with extreme care when unboxing, as vintage materials can be fragile.

3. Limitation of Liability & Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by English law, Studio and Store Ltd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, personal injury, or property damage arising from the subsequent use, storage, cleaning, assembly, or transport of the vintage, antique, or secondhand goods once they have left our premises.

The buyer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Studio and Store Ltd against any and all future claims, lawsuits, or liabilities (including product liability claims brought under international or foreign jurisdictions) resulting from the item.

4. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions, and any contract arising from a sale, shall be governed exclusively by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties explicitly agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales to resolve any dispute or claim.
