Habitat Carimate Chairs | Set of 4 | Restored
The iconic Carimate chair was orginally designed in 1959 by Italian architect Vico Magistretti for the Carimate Golf club in Lombardy, Italy. Terence Conran imported these pieces on approved licence and retailed them through his early UK-based Habitat stores in the 1960s and 1970s.
The designed was known for fusing traditional Italian heritage with modern design, authentic vintage Carimate chairs feature a solid beech frame and a woven rush seat. The design was produced by the Italian manufacturer Cassina and part of the permanent collection at the MoMA in New York.

Fully restored vintage condition - these chairs have been carefully stripped, re-spayed in black and finished in a soft satin lacquer. The seats have been professionally re-woven with new rush. Please bear in mind with any restored pieces they may still show evidence of age and wear.
